What is a small business employer?

A small business employer is someone who at a particular time of the dismissal employs less than 15 employees (see s23).

What is considered an employee for the purpose of determining the number of employees in a small business?

An employee is someone that is employed at the time of the dismissal and is not a casual employee. Unless that casual employee is employed on a regular and systematic basis. It also includes the person that was dismissed and any other people that were dismissed or terminated.
